EVALUATION
SYSTEM
1.
Performance
of a
student
shall be
judged
by
continuous
in-semester
evaluation
assessment
and
end-semester
examination
2.
The
continuous
in-semester
assessment
shall be
taken by
the
concerned
faculty
members
of each
department
and in
any of
the
following
ways :
·
written
test
·
quizzes
·
workshop
practice
·
practical
work
·
project
work
·
viva-voce
·
open
book
test
.
home
assignment
test
3.
Evaluation
is done
on a
four-point
grade
system
as
follows:

4. The
Grade
Point
Average
(GPA) of
the
student
should
remain
2.0 and
above,
throughout
the duration
of their
studies.
If the
student
fails to
maintain
this
GPA,
or receives
two or
more
permanent
‘F’
grades
then the
students
may
be required
to
withdraw
from the
program.
The
student
not
obtaining minimum
of GPA
2.0 in
each
semester
considering
both the
end-semester examination
as well
as
continuous
in-semester
assessment
shall
be deemed
to have
failed
the
semester.
A
student
securing
less
than
40% marks
in
continuous
in-semester
assessment
will not
be
allowed
to
take end-semester
examination.
5.
A
student
who has
successfully
completed
a course
shall
not be
permitted
to
reappear
for that
course.
However,
if a
student
passes
in all
the
course
and yet
does not
obtain
GPA of
2.0 in
that
semester,
he/she
will
be
allowed
to
appear
in the
examinations
in any
two
courses.
But the
candidate
must
clear
all the
courses
within
seven
years
from the
date
of
admission
in that
program.
6.
If a
student
fails in
more
that two
courses,
he/she
has to
seek
permission
from
the Dean
to
repeat
the
semester.
7.
If a
student
fails in
two or
less
than two
courses
he/she
may be
allowed
three
chances
to
appear
in the
failed
subjects |
